The Avondale Mine Disaster Site Preservation Committee

Formed under the auspices of the Anthracite Living History Group, this committee is dedicated to the preservation of the disaster site, located just off Rt. 11, Plymouth Twp., Luzerne Co., PA.

The Plymouth Historical Society has contracted the Brandywine Company to produce a replica of the Avondale Mine, and has generously offered to donate a portion of their profits to the Avondale Mine Disaster Site Preservation Committee for future clean-up projects and memorial services.

These replicas can be purchased at any Memorial Service, or through the Historical Society by sending a check or money order for $22.50 ($20.00 + $2.50 P&H) to:
